PR: Wateen
Telecom, Pakistan’s largest telecommunication service provider,
has signed an MoU with Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC), and Engro Thar
Power Limited (EPTL) under which Wateen will provide dedicated Internet, Data
and Telecommunication services to SECMC and EPTL at their coal mining and power
plant sites at Thar.
The Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company and Engro Thar Power projects
reside in the remote areas of Thar, where high speed and quality data and
internet connectivity arevital tools for running and managing a business in
today’s day and age. Engro has selected Wateen for being the pioneer in
providing quality data, internet and telephony services. Wateen’s extensive
fiber footprint of more than 22,500 kms connects all major cities and towns, as
well as far flung areas of the country, making Wateen the inherent choice for
any customer with operations in remote areas.
Expressing his views at the ceremony, Mr. Rizwan Tiwana CEO Wateen
Telecom said, “Our trust and 'customer first' strategy, supported by a complete
network end to end with a one window ICT solution provides technology of

Energy sector of which SECMC / EPTL are prominent industry leaders".
